Prominent entrepreneurs, diplomats, academics and politicians will participate at the 30th annual Greek Economy Summit organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Athens Stock Exchange.
The Summit will be held on December 3-4, 2019 at the Athenaeum InterContinental in Athens. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Alexis Tsipras, the leader of Greece’s main opposition party SYRIZA, are due to address the participants.
The Chamber says that the Summit’s theme, “Turning the Odds,” reflects the country’s dynamic efforts to turn its economic page and return quickly to a sustainable path of growth and global competitiveness.
In a world characterized by explosive technological developments, geopolitical upheavals and confrontations over values and ethics, countries are called on to demonstrate high levels of competence in adopting and integrating the new trends which will lead them to sustainable growth.
Among other issues, the Summit will explore how Greece’s recent experiences in responding to crises and overcoming them can become an asset and how it can use its resilience to adapt to a future dominated by new economic models.
