Greek Start-Up Company Facilitates Remote Brain Imaging Using the Internet

Advantis Medical Imaging is a Greek start-up company which aims to make brain imaging more accessible to more people by using modern technology and the internet.
Speaking with Greece’s Kathimerini newspaper recently, co-founder of the company Paris Ziogas explained the advantages of this innovation, which aspires to become a basic commodity in the field of medical imaging.
The main asset of the software developed by the Greek company is that it uses the internet to make the service accessible to people who cannot be physically present on the premises of the company using the technology.
Using two and three-dimensional processing, the software will be able to allow doctors to have a complete picture of the patient’s brain, facilitating them to make a accurate diagnoses regarding tumors or Alzheimer’s disease.

The software, called ”Brainance,” was developed in 2016. It is now set to become a widely-used commodity in the medical imaging sector, which is experiencing impressive growth both in Greece and across the world.
Estimations suggest that by 2024, the medical imaging software sector will be worth more than $4.5 billion.
