Magnitude 4.1 Earthquake Shakes Greece's Peloponnesian Peninsula


An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale hit southeast of the Peloponnesian town of Dimitsana on Holy Thursday at 14:18 local time (11:18 GMT).
The epicenter of the quake was 29 kilometers (18 miles) southeast of Dimitsana in the Arcadia region, southwest of the Greek capital Athens.
The depth of the epicenter was determined to be 11.5 kilometers (7 miles) under the earth, according Athens’ Geodynamic Institute.
There are no reports of injuries or damage to buildings in the area.
