Greek long jumper Miltiadis Tentoglou on Sunday won the gold medal with 8.38m which is the world best performance in 2019 at the European Indoor Championships that are held in Glasgow.
Tentoglou achieved the best indoor mark by a European for a decade. Germany’s Sebastian Bayer jumped his European record 8.71m in March 2009 and Tentoglou’s mark puts him equal sixth on the continental all-time list.
Thobias Montler of Sweden jumped a PB of 8.17m for silver and Strahinja Jovancevic of Serbia a national record of 8.03m for bronze.
