Congratulations were conveyed from FYROM Prime Minister Zoran Zaev to Greece on Friday following the country’s Parliamentary vote ratifying the Prespa Agreement.
Prime Minister Zaev tweeted a celebratory message in English to his Greek counterpart, which read “Congratulations my friend, Alexis Tsipras. Together with our peoples we reached an historical victory. Long live the Prespa Agreement! For eternal peace and progress of the Balkans and in Europe!”

The ratification of the Prespa Agreement is perceived by many as a means to normalize relations between the two bordering countries, as well as to help pave the way for the Balkan country to join the NATO alliance.
