Greece Attracts High-Income Tourists, According to New Report

New research conducted by the Greek Association of Tourist Enterprises (SETE) says at least 6 out of 10 tourists who come to visit Greece are high-income earners.
Luxury tourism is on the rise and the wider increase in the number of tourists visiting Greece has left its footprint on many sectors of the Greek economy. This can be easily seen in a wide range of businesses.
For example, the tax-free market had a double-digit rise in revenue compared to 2017, hotels received more than a billion euros more in profit, due to a 12% rise of revenues during the period between January and May, compared to the same months last year.
SETE adds to its report that not only has the number of visitors gone up rapidly but many other sectors of the Greek economy have seen significant gains during the last few years.
