A young male seal ignored hundreds of bathers at a popular beach in the Greek island of Skopelos and took a nap.
People gathered near the sleeping animal to take a closer look at the unexpected visitor.

Wildlife specialists warn that people should not get close to seals because they could bite if scared.

Skopelos lies in the Sporades archipelago, home to a wide variety of marine wildlife.
It includes the Alonissos Marine Park which is one of the best places to watch marine life in Greece.
Its fauna includes one of the largest seal species, the endangered Mediterranean monk seal.
