Increase in Arrivals at Athens Airport is Due to Greeks Who Moved Abroad

Traffic growth at the Eleftherios Venizelos airport is attributed mainly to Greeks who have moved abroad and visit their homeland, said Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) President Andreas Andreadis.
Andreadis made the comment via Twitter, where he wrote, “But all the traffic growth of the Athens airport came from the Greeks who now work abroad and not from foreign visitors.”
The Athens Airport company reported an increase in passenger traffic of over 10% and a 4% increase in aircraft movement. In terms of passenger traffic, during the first month of the year, 1.21 million passengers went through Eleftherios Venizelos.
