“There will not be additional measures in 2019 and after” reassured Economy and Growth Minister Dimitris Papadimitriou in statements on Saturday. Papadimitriou who is visiting the island of Rhodes to attend an event organised by a SYRIZA committee said that the negotiations with the lenders are harsh but the government’s red lines will not be infringed.
He made a special reference to IMF’s demands noting that the fact that from 2010 all Fund’s reports and programmes were proved wrong. The minister expressed his optimism over the course of the Greek economy underlining that the country has already turned the page and that the target remains the investments’ increase and the creation of job relations.
