Disney’s new feature “A Wrinkle in Time”, which is scheduled to start production tomorrow, November 2, has just added Zach Galifianakis to its talented cast.
Directed by Ava DuVernay (famous for her work on “Selma”) and starring Oprah Winfrey, the movie is based on the classic children’s book of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle, published in 1962. It follows the same plot as the book does, focusing on Meg Murray, her brother Charles, and her friend Calvin, as they are sent by strange beings through alternate dimensions to find their father.
“A Wrinkle in Time” has already lined up A-list talent including Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Mindy Kaling, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw to round out the story. Galifianakis will play a character known as “The Happy Medium”.
The movie will mostly be shot in California and New Zealand, and is due to be released sometime in 2018.
