The issue of German war reparations has been definitively closed, German government spokesman Stephen Seibert said on Friday, responding to recent statements by Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras who raised the issue.
“The issue of German reparations is definitively, legally and politically closed,” Seibert said, adding that the German government’s position is clear and has been stated repeatedly.
