China’s stakes in the tender have come as a surprise as the legal terms involving the separation of ADMIE from Public Power Corporation was initially taken to involve a European operator.
It is thought that since China’s SCGG has 25 percent stake in Portugal’s REN, that it was allowed to enter the tender for ADMIE.
