The new trailer is out for Clint Eastwood’s latest film, “Sully”, starring Tom Hanks as the famous US Airways pilot who made an emergency landing in the Hudson River, saving the lives of everyone on board.
Tom Hanks plays Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, alongside Aaron Eckhart who co-stars as his co-pilot.
The movie dives deeper into the pilot’s life, as well as the fallout that resulted from his heroic actions on the Hudson River in 2009. The real-life Sully, who frequently visited the set of Hanks’ film, dealt with an intrusive investigation after the emergency landing that threatened to derail his career.
Hanks underwent intense training for his role in the film, as he actually practiced flying on an Airbus A320 simulator in order to realistically capture the motions and intensity of the ill-fated US Airways flight.
“Sully” will premiere in theaters nationwide on September 9, 2016.
