Violence at Samos Migrant Camp Leaves 15 Injured [video]

samos-epeisodia-1070A violent fight that erupted at the migrant camp in Samos, left 15 people injured, one of them seriously, and a part of the camp burnt down.
A group of Afghan men and another group of Pakistanis started fighting late at night on Thursday for unknown reasons. The fight escalated with migrants setting part of the camp on fire. The migrants used rocks, iron bars and knives and as a result 15 injuries were reported.
One Pakistani man was rushed to the hospital suffering serious injuries after receiving several blows to the head. The fires set on tents put several families in danger and as a result many migrants fled the camp temporarily.
Police apprehended about 20 migrants who were taken to the local police station for questioning.
This was the second consecutive violent incident after the fight between migrants at a Lesbos migrant camp late on Wednesday night, when six people were injured and a part of the camp burned down, including the UNHCR facilities.
