Hundreds of refugees and migrants left the hot-spot of BIAL in Chios, on Friday April 1 and are heading towards the city of Chios, through the provincial highway.
According to the local site of Chios, astraparis.gr, around noon, the refugees and migrants were walking across the provincial highway, under the escort of the police and one ambulance, and are probably heading towards the port or the camp in Souda.
The site also reports that men, women and children, carrying their belongings, opened the barbed wire and started moving towards Chios. The police forces present on the hot-spot of BIAL did not stop them, in order to avoid any tension and ensure a peaceful and uneventful march.
According to estimations, about half the number of the total 1650 refugees and migrants that remained in the hot-spot of BIAL, are still there.
