The small mosque located in the community of Deneia, west of Nicosia, has been fully repaired, after an arson attack last month that burned most of the building’s roof and caused other damages.
According to an official announcement, repairs were undertaken at the orders of Interior Minister Socratis Hasikos by a Nicosia District crew, under the supervision of the Ministry’s Technical Services.
The costs are assumed by the Turkish Cypriot Property Management Service and the building’s management has been transferred to the local council.
