Despite Unemployment, One In Three Women in Greece Has a Science Degree

women workingA special edition of the World Bank statistical representation of equality between women and men on the planet shows some interesting results for Greece.
The results are based on 2013 data that were published recently by Greece’s General Secretariat for Gender Equality.
Some of the findings of the study show that 32% of university graduates in natural sciences are women in Greece. Also, the division of labor by sex for workers over 15 is 44% female, while in the service sector women represent 80% of the work force.
However, in the 15-24 age group, 64% of the unemployed are women, while only 23% of job positions that require high responsibilities belong to women.
Regarding the position of women in Eurozone nations, their life expectancy is 84 years and 79 for men.
Women in the service sector represent 85% of the work force with 76% of them working part-time. Also, 73% of women and 79% of men use the internet and 94% of women and 96% of men over 15 have a bank account.
