Nia Vardalos will soon be back on TV with a new recurring role in the comedy “Graves”, an Epix political satire.
Nick Nolte and Sela Ward star in “Graves”, and the show follows Nolte’s journey (as an ex-President) to right the wrongs he committed during his time in office, as he comes to the realization that his policies actually damaged the country he ran.
At the same time, wife Sela Ward decides to embark on her own political career with a Senate campaign.
Vardalos will play the role of Annie Novak, a top-notch political consultant who will work with Ward on her Senate campaign. Besides working together, Vardalos’ and Ward’s characters are also long-time friends, but the campaign and Ward’s relationship with her husband create some friction between the two.
Vardalos is keeping busy after finishing shooting on the sequel to her first smash hit movie, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2”, which will be out in theaters next spring.
