Prime Minister of Greece Alexis Tsipras, participated at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting 2015 at a forum about impacts of the Great Recession on the European Union with an emphasis on Europe’s young people.
Interviewed by former US President Clinton, Tsipras said that he is keen to bring investors back to Greece, but also focus on restructuring the Greek debt.
“You are like the dog that chased the car, what do you do when you get to it? ” joked President Clinton asking the Greek PM what he will do now that Greece has an agreement with its creditors in order to improve the crippled Greek economy.
PM Tsipras and President Clinton also discussed about the Greek Diaspora and its role in reviving the country as well as referred to the refugee crisis, “a crisis within a crisis,” according to Tsipras.
