A tragic incident that shocked Greece took place today, August 15, on the day of Virgin Mary’s Dormition, in Egnatia motorway near Thessaloniki.
A 47-year-old man parked his car at the side of the road, took out his rifle and killed his 47-year-old wife. Then he committed suicide, leaving two small children behind.
According to preliminary information, Greek Police found the woman who had been shot in the chest and the man who had a shot wound in his jaw, after a horrified driver alerted authorities about the incident.
It was reported that the man was in fact facing serious psychological problems, while he believed that his wife was being unfaithful.
