Man Accused of Selling University-Grade Papers on Facebook

computer fileGreek police’s electronic crime squad has arrested a 47 year-old man on suspicion of running an illegal business selling essays to university students via Facebook. Police also found the man to be collaborating with 108 ‘authors’.
An announcement on the Greek police‘s website on Tuesday said the accused advertised his services on Facebook, promising university-grade papers and dissertations in exchange for a fee. Files on his computer showed some 200 students had expressed interest in his “prepared” papers in a range of subjects, including human resource management, marketing, advertising, international economic relations, business administration, neurology, neurophysiology, industrial waste, modern Greek language, history and literature.
The confiscated digital proofs will be sent to the forensics officers for examination. A list including the names of the students who bought the essays, as well as their authors, will be handed over to a prosecutor for further investigation.
