Greek Film Festival in London

The submission period for the annual London Greek Film Festival has already started and will last until May 23. The festival is to take place October 6-17.

This will be the seventh year of the festival which is considered the international meeting point for Greek film.

Both films and screenplays will be accepted from either individuals or production companies of Greece, Cyprus and the Greek diaspora. Moreover, non-Greek individuals and film production companies will also be accepted in the festival as long as their films are somehow related to Greece.

The participants will compete for the Odysseus Awards, as a tribute to the odyssey through which the filmmakers go in order to follow their dreams. Last year, the “10th day” film of Vassilis Mazomenos won the Best Fiction Feature Film award. Kimon Tsakiris with the film “Mitsigan – Hardships and Beauties” won the Best Documentary award.
