Armed Robbery at Post Office

post-office-robbery-eltaEarly this morning, an armed robbery took place at the post office in Vrachneika in Patras, where three armed robbers stole about 60,000 Euros.
According to police sources, the gang broke the post office’s entrance window and they immediately went to the cash register. They pointed their gun to the intimidate customers, and threatened to shoot them if the employees wouldn’t give them the money.
When they took the cash they run away with a car which they had parked a few meters away. They headed toward the national highway Patra toward Pyrgos. After a few hours, the policemen found their car on fire. It seems that the three armed men set fire to their escape car on a side-road and then switched cars. The investigations are continuing with a Police search for the three armed robbers who stole 60,000 Euros from the post office.
