Eurozone Greek Aid Decision July 26

eurozoneEurozone finance ministry officials will hold another conference call on July 26 to decide whether Greece can get its next 4 billion euros ($5.27 billion aid payment, two European officials said, although other reports indicated that the money would be forthcoming because Greece had finally fulfilled all but one of its 22 of its previously-agreed upon reforms demanded by the Troika of the European Union-International Monetary Fund-European Central Bank (EU-IMF-ECB).
During a call, officials from euro member states earlier had established that Greece still hadn’t fulfilled a the so-called mobility scheme to place 25,000 workers in involuntary transfers and paid 75 percent of their already-reduced pay for up to eight months and then firing them if another position can’t be found. That has set off social unrest but the government it will do as told by the Troika.
