Trikala Prison Fugitives Probably in Albania

DRAPETES_561_355_561_355The Greek police, border guards and coast guard officers are still in search of the two dangerous escapees from the Trikala prison who remain at large.
However, there is great possibility that the two Albanian fugitives, Marian Kola and Ilir Koupa, may have crossed the border back into Albania, their homeland, as revealed by a number of trails along the border.
“The only way for them to have fled Greece is through sea to Kosovo. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet. We cannot exclude the not-at-all-unlikely possibility that they have probably returned home,” one of the Hellenic Police senior officers said.
The police also added that they found no signs of the fugitives the past few days. As stated, either someone is hiding them or they have sneaked over the border.
According to further police information, Kola, who is the main suspect of the murder of two people, has a lot of unfinished business in the neighboring country.
The scenario that he could be a ‘Kanun’ (Albanian vendetta) victim, is very likely as well.
