Greece Tracking Its Engineers Abroad

Greeks_engenDuring those last years, Greek engineers, especially young people, have either chosen to work abroad directly after their studies or have been, within the past few years, scientific and professional immigrants who have been seeking for a job as well as better working conditions in other countries.
It is estimated that the total number of Greek engineers who work abroad, exceeds the amount of 5000 persons, although that’s unofficial.
In an effort to maintain a constant contact with engineers abroad, the Technical Chamber of Greece / Section of Central Macedonia (TCG / SCM) has undertaken a series of initiatives that involve, among others, the following: recording their number, providing them with support for insurance / tax issues, helping them over the development of their business ideas as well as the participation of TCG / SCM and engineers in events held abroad.
These objectives will be materialized, among others, through the creation of a website, which is expected to operate by this September. The site will function as an electronic employment office since it is going to match the job demand from abroad and the offer from Greece. Moreover the subscription, of those interested, in the website will be done through a simple process as in any other blog.
