OPAP's Bidder Has Some Questions

6A034A0CDBF7359FA8409593D957B648The Greek-Czech group Emma Delta, which has bid 652 million euros ($847.06 million) for a 33 percent state in the Greek gambling monopoly OPAP is quibbling with the country’s privatization agency TAIPED over some of the terms.
OPAP has left to itself and partners including American Scientific Games and Intralot a 12-license lottery as well as the technology provider of the organization where Intralot has been declared the definitive contractor, but the final signatures have not be signed yet.
TAIPED argued that there can be no privatization of OPAP without the lottery and the technology provider.
TAIPED said it will seek to follow the terms of the contract whhile Emma Delta said it would resume its objections on “privileges that Scientific Games and Intralot will have in the joint lottery company, as well as the fine print in the contract with Intralot.” TAIPED said meanwhile it can not conclude the deal with Emma Delta completely.
The President and Executive Director of the organization, Costas Louropoulos has yet to sign the contracts for the lottery suppliers and is in talks with Emma Delta and Intralot.
