Free Admission To Greek Museums April 18

arch_museum (1)To mark World Heritage Day,  there was no admission fee for museums and archaeological sites around Greece is free on April 18.
World Heritage Day is designed to create awareness among the common people for conserving and protecting the valuable asset and cultural heritage across the world.
Also known as International Monuments and Sites Day, it marks a specific theme every year and this year also the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) decided on Heritage in Education and Expressions in Diverse Geo-cultural Contexts. The theme focuses on promoting the traditional education system and the cultural diversity across the globe.
A number of events were organized at the Archaeological Museum in Athens, the capital’s Epigraphical Museum, the Archaeological Museum of Patra, the archaeological site of Mystras and the Delphi Archaeological Museum.
