578425_461169910571472_1784692366_nOriginally from Greece, punk rock band Barb Wire Dolls have been getting non-stop airplay on Los Angeles radio station KROQ. Performing the local music scene with sold-out shows at the Roxy Theatre and a residency at the Viper Room, the group released their debut album, Slit, late last year and are now out on tour to support it.

Barb Wire Dolls formed in Crete in 2008 before relocating to Los Angeles. Current members of the band are lead singer Isis Queen, guitarist Pyn Doll, and drummer Krash Doll. Their music is described as “a politically-charged blast of melodic high energy rock and roll that combines first wave punk, grunge, and metal riffs.” Members of the Sex Pistols, Black Flag, L7, Flogging Molly, D Generation, Murder Junkies, as well as Frances Bean Cobain have all attended their shows. They’ve been referred to as the “new punk sensation,” and have been called “the best punk band since the Sex Pistols.”

The band plays the Viper Room in Los Angeles April 10, and then heads on tour across the U.S. before moving onto Greece and other venues in Europe. For a full list of tour dates, visit their Facebook page: You can also follow them on Twitter for more updates:
