Car Pile-Up Kills Detroit Man

pile uoManelaos Manolis, 54, from Detroit, died when his car was more of more than 30 that collided on a highway near the Rouge River Bridge tragically in a car accident on Thursday, when more than 30 vehicles collided on the highway 75 near the Rouge River bridge. Scores of vehicles that escaped damage were trapped on the freeway behind the accident scene for hours.

Officials said the pile-up was caused because of the slipperiness of the road, while snow and strong blustery winds reduced visibility across this area. Passenger cars of different types and trucks were involved.

Two children, 7 and 9 years old, were killed as well, while their parents were fighting for their lives in a hospital in Detroit. Police did not release further details. Manolis was single, an architect and it was reported he liked to travel around the city to look at its old buildings.
