Bulgarians Like Ancient Greek Philosopher’s Life

aris2-platoAccording to a survey’s results, conducted by the Institute for Current Affairs during the period from Dec. 6-13, one out of five Bulgarians prefer the life of the ancient Greek philosophers and one out of ten would rather be living in caves in pre-historic times.

That survey aimed to show whether Bulgarians were happy with their lives. Social analyst Ilya Tziampazof said the  poll results show how dissatisfied people are with the country’s politicians, although they elected them.

A good 30% of the respondents said that they would also prefer the life of Nobles during the Middle Ages, followed by preference over the life of the 19th century’s German scribes and the 20th century’s’ French peasants.

When asked if they would trade their life for another one in the past, 10.4% said they would prefer to live on a secluded island, a position mainly supported by urban centers’ residents. That pretty much means almost all Bulgarians would rather be somewhere else.
