A Greek Orthodox monastery in Jerusalem has been defaced by vandals with graffiti that stated “Death to Christianity” and “Jesus, son of a whore,” officials said on Dec. 12.
The overnight attack on the Monastery of the Cross was the latest in a series of vandalism of Christian holy sites. The words “Price Tag” were daubed on a vandalized car parked outside the 11th-Century building, a form of retribution used by protesters in retaliation for acts they consider to be pro-Palestinian.
