Greek-American actress and businesswoman Jenni Pulos, of Bravo’s design show “Flipping Out,” is venturing into the world of rapping.
Like another Greek-American, Tina Fey, who rapped on Childish Gambino’s latest album, Pulos is taking a crack at rhythm and rhyme. The actress released a song on September 6 in collaboration with Grammy-winning rapper/producer Lil Jon. The single is described more as “kid-friendly,” and proceeds from sales will benefit various charities.
At her wedding this past year to Jonathan Nassos, Pulos gave a taste of her abilities by dropping some beats at the reception. Some may be surprised to discover she has rapping talents, but in an interview with the Chicago-Sun Times, she said, “I’m sure people think that a 39-year-old Greek girl shouldn’t be rapping…a lot of people have thought I shouldn’t be doing a lot of things, and I’ve fallen forward in maybe every aspect of my life. My whole mantra is if people are telling you you’re doing something wrong, you’re probably doing something right.”
