PanMacedonian Youth of Boston Enchants Thessaloniki

The letter from 250 professors of the greatest universities of the world sent to US President Barack Obama in 2009 in regard to the name dispute with FYROM was officially published by the PanMacedonian Union of America.
Accompanying the letter which was translated into Greek, German and the Skopje language are various other articles by eminent academic professors, supporting the Hellenism of ancient Macedonia and the Greek language.
The letter was signed mostly by American professors teaching history and archaeology at famous universities such as Harvard, Princeton and Oxford, who asked Obama’s intervention “in this nonsense that has crossed the lines.”
On Sunday July 22, former Supreme President of the PanMacedonian Union of America and Coordinator of the World PanMacedonian Associations Nina Gatzouli will give a speech on the aforementioned publication in a special event to be held at the surrounding area of the White Tower.
During the event, “Sons and Daughters of Alexander the Great” dancing group of the PanMacedonian Youth of Boston will perform along with four other dancing groups of Macedonian associations in Thessaloniki.
The members of the PanMacedonian Youth of Boston may not speak Greek very fluently, but they can amazingly dance traditional Macedonian dances receiving the warmest applause in every performance they give in municipalities and communities of Western Macedonia.
Fourteen young men and women –all of them university students- came from America under the kind sponsorship of Greek-Americans. The young Macedonians from America particularly enchanted citizens of Thessaloniki last weekend during the Pan-Macedonian Meeting in Sitaria, Florina.
