Patriarch of Alexandria Theodore Appointed Honorary Professor at the Law School of Athens

Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodore was appointed Honorary Professor at the Law School of Athens in the event room of the University of Athens, yesterday June 9.
Among the attendees were the representative of Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos, Metropolitans of Messinia Chrysostomos and Ilion Athinagoras, Metropolitans from the Patriarchate of Alexandria, clergy members as well as political personalities, such as New Democracy Honorary President K. Mistotakis.
Law Professor Th. Fortsakis read the decision for the appointment of the Patriarch, who is widely known for his missionary work in the African continent. Patriarch Theodore gave a speech expressing his gratitude to the Law School of Athens, where “thousands of young people have given an oath to the values of the science” just like he did, as he commented. He also spoke of the timeless significance of the Patriarchate of Alexandria in Orthodox and Hellenic matters.
