New Deputy FA Minister Tsiaras Talks About the Greeks of Diaspora

New Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Konstantinos Tsiaras will be in charge of issues related to the Hellenes of the Diaspora. “A high priority of our policy will be to evaluate the strength of the Greeks of Diaspora,” said Mr Tsiaras in his exclusive interview with Ana-Mpa, one day after his swearing-in ceremony.
He has been MP for Karditsa since 2004, a doctor in his professional career who loves foreign languages (he speaks English, French, German and he learns Russian and Italian at the parliamentary classes). K. Tsiaras has a very demanding job:  to give solid answers to the questions of Greeks of the Diaspora amid an ominous financial situation.
“I personally believe that Greeks of the Diaspora have always been a great strength for our country. And especially during that period, we have to evaluate this strength,” he says. “It is known, that all Greeks, no matter where they are, should affect the critical decisions regarding our country in their own way, and they can do so to a great extent through the presence and activities of the Greek communities abroad. I believe that every Greek man and woman can become an ambassador to Greece during these critical times,” Tsiaras notes.
“The effort, the interest and the true love of every Greek state towards Greeks living abroad must be shaped through actions of a concrete political structure,” he underlined.
