FYROM Minister of Foreign Affairs Accuses Greece of Keeping It Hostage

A new attack against Greece was unleashed by the FYROM Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Poposki, during his interview with the National News Agency of FYROM. Poposki accused Athens of blocking the entrance of his country to NATO and that it ”keeps it hostage.”
According to his declarations, FYROM has fulfilled the necessary presuppositions since 2008 to become a member of NATO, but ”the decision is up to a member-state that has a legal obligation not to block the entrance of our country to the Alliance.” He added that his country will not permit its goals to be prevented by ”someone who wants to keep us hostage or create instability.” In addition, the other countries, which participated in the NATO Summit in Chicago, know that the entrance of FYROM is beneficial for the Alliance. He accused Athens of ”lack of sensibility” and ”a new infringement of the Intermediate Agreement.”
The FYROM Minister describes the behavior of the Greek government as ”scandalous” because ”it does not respect the decision of the International Tribune of Hague.”
