57-year-old Football Trainer Arrested Facing Charges of Child Abuse

A football trainer was arrested by Greek police yesterday, charged with child abuse in Patisia, Athens. 57-year-old Ligomenos Dimitrios, a resident of Peristeri, was molesting underage boys while he worked as trainer. The citizens of Patisia are shocked by the news.
His personal data was publicly released by the police, as imposed by the legal framework of sexual offenses implicating underage victims, for the protection of the society.
The case was carefully examined by a special department of the Greek Police, who investigated areas where young children participate in extracurricular activities and collected valuable data that lead to the suspect’s arrest.
The investigation showed that the 57-year-old worked as a football trainer and gained the trust of young boys using his profession to get closer to them. The young football players were sexually abused, sometimes under the promise that their having sex with him would help them have a bright football career. He is also reported to have offered the boys money in exchange to molest them.
The suspect was taken to the Misdemeanors Prosecutor of Athens and was charged with qualified seduction of minor victims, child molestation in exchange for money, repeated sexual abuse and physical harm. He was referred to the Special Examining Magistrate.
The 57-year-old child abuser was co-founder of the football team AO Pegasus in 1970, and has been training ever since on the team’s premises.
