Culture and Tourism Minister Pavlos Geroulanos accepted the resignation of the members of the board of directors of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture (HFC) on Wednesday.
Previously, the chairman of the Hellenic Foundation For Culture, Giorgos Mpampiniotis, had stated: “The annual budget needed for the functioning of the Hellenic Foundation For Culture is 2.5 million Euros. 1.4 million Euros has been disbursed by now, and that is not enough for the functioning of the foundation”.
The insufficient funding due to the ongoing financial crisis in Greece led the members of the board of directors of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture to resign.
