Hellenic Fertilizers – ELFE is The Only Greek Industry Producing Chemicals and Fertilizers

Hellenic Fertilizers – ELFE is a mainstay of the Greek industrial sector, having succeeded in making its name synonymous with the growth of Greek agriculture.
ELFE is continuously widening its presence in Greece, while strengthening its position in the vast – and in deficit – international fertilizer market.
Today it is the leader in the Greek market, both in terms of sales volume, as well as in terms of its network coverage, while it boasts significant exports to Europe, Africa, the Middle East, China and elsewhere.
ELFE is the sole Greek company manufacturing Chemical Fertilizers and the largest producer and supplier of fertilizers in Southeast Europe.
The Phosphοric Fertilizers Industry (Βιομηχανία Φωσφορικών Λιπασμάτων – Β.Φ.Λ) was established in 1961 by the Emporiki Bank Group, and began operations in 1965 in the area of Nea Karvali near the city of Kavala. In September 2009, it was acquired by the Lavrentiadis Group of Companies and renamed ‘Hellenic Fertilizers – ELFE’. Since then, it has been implementing a far-reaching modernization and investment program, involving, among other duties, the maintenance and upgrading of production units and plant’s storage facilities.
ELFE – Hellenic Fertilizers is making renewed investments in the existing facilities of the Kavala plant by erecting buildings that will be used for storing, bagging, palletizing, internal transportation and loading of fertilizers.
ELFE’s extensive infrastructure, advanced technology, rich expertise and highly skilled personnel guarantee full coverage of all agricultural needs and safe solutions for even the most demanding crops.
