Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Visits Greece

On January 18, 2012, Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov paid a made a short official trip to Greece.
In Athens, he held talks with his Greek counterpart, Stavros Dimas. The two ministers discussed issues concerning bilateral relations, as well as the situation and ongoing troubles in the region of the Western Balkans.
On Tuesday, just before Minister Mladenov’s visit, thousands of Greek employees marched to the country’s parliament to protest against austerity measures.
Greece’s private sector creditors have already warned that Greece’s government must urgently break a deadlock in negotiations on a plan to rescue it from the debt crisis and avoid default, according to ‘novinite.com’.  The EU has also emphasized the need for Greece to come to an imminent agreement with its private investors.
