IIF Says Key Issues Unresolved on Greek Debt Swap

Important aspects of the Greek debt-restructuring negotiations remain unresolved, and it is crucial that they are settled as soon as possible, said representatives of the private-sector creditors participating in the talks Thursday.
According to Dow Jones, Dallara and Lemierre, who co-chair the steering committee negotiating on behalf of most of Greece΄s private creditors, “a range of issues were discussed and some key areas remain unresolved. Discussions will continue in Athens tomorrow, but time for reaching an agreement is running short”.
The talks will continue on Friday.
“It is essential in order to finalize the voluntary PSI agreement that support be given by all official parties in the days ahead… it is important that Greece reach agreement with the private sector on a voluntary debt exchange as soon as possible,” the statement added.
