Police authorities announced on Monday that six people were arrested from many areas around Greece, when police smashed a child pornography ring that traded images of sexual assault.
Two local men and four foreign nationals were arrested in Athens, Salamina, Chania, Patras, Lefkada, Didimoticho and the island of Mytilini on multiple counts of child porn trafficking via the Internet. another four people, members of the same trafficking ring face similar charges.
The images that they were trafficking showed babies and toddlers being raped and sexually exploited.
Most of the confiscated material was apparently taped in Latin America but there is also a video that appears to be European made.
