According to the Cabinet Committee on Education Affairs, 24,000 people have been appointed to cover positions in different educational areas for the 2011-2012 school year.
The Committee gave the opportunity to 250 signatories to work in educational environments. 1,300 people were hired as university staff, and 71 teachers at specialized schools.
20,720 substitute teachers were assigned all over Greece. 25 people were appointed for 8 months, and 600 have become permanent teachers.
