Political Ferments Ahead Of TIF

“The Prime Minister would follow up the International Fair of Thessalonica (TIF) schedule. His presence would be meaningful and plain”, said George Papandreou’s office, according to Greek broadcaster Mega Channel, denying rumors that there would be no PM speech.
According to the official statement, George Papandreou would address the representatives of productive classes on September 10, and give the customary press conference the following day.
However, it remains unknown what he would decide to speak of. Two years after the infamous “there is money” quote, the Prime Minister would attend TIF, while the agreement of the EU Summit in July is at risk.
Initial talks at the Maximos Hall –the PM’s office- indicate that Papandreou would focus on two areas: liquidity and employment, and attempt to convince Greek people that despite delays, investment plan is still achievable.
