A foreign man living in Patras has found an unusual means of protesting for renewal of his permission to stay in the country. The 46-year-old man went to the dock in the old port of the city and, after having camped out there, he sewed his mouth shut and began a hunger strike which he intends to continue until his problem is resolved.
