Striking Cab Drivers Meet with Infrastructure Minister Ragousis Tomorrow

Infrastructure Minister John Ragousis will eventually meet cab drivers tomorrow morning, the 6th of July on Mesogeion Avenue. The scheduled meeting was postponed due to a cabinet meeting.
The cab drivers have gathered outside the Ministrty of Infrastructure with their vehicles, creating congestion along Mesogeion Ave. The strikers wil leave a resolution of protest in Ragousis’s office, which is expected to be given to all parties’ representatives.
The cab drivers will be on a 24-hour strike until 5:00 am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, PASOK Member’s of Parliament, Tonia Antoniou and Nick Salagiannis tabled a question in Parliament to the Minister of Infrastructure in which they are indirectly in favour of Reppas’s previous decision. They want to know how the government decision changed, which ensured adaptation to European standards and consensus among social partners.
John Ragousis stated on Monday that he will not sign the Presidential decree on the liberalization of taxis drawn up by his predecessor Dimitris Reppas, which set a series of conditions for the opening of the industry.
