Minister of Multicultural Affairs in Victoria Nikos Kotsiras, gave the green light to Muslim women who want to wear a headscarf, due to the debate about banning the Islamic tradition. From his point of view, it is absolutely a personal issue and everybody should have the right to be dressed as he/she wants. Regarding the places that immigrants choose to live, he feels that it is logical for someone who goes to another country to look for people who speak the same language and have the same nationality. The same happened to his family, when they went to Melbourne many years ago. In addition, he supports that minority communities should not be generally and massively accused of crimes and criminality. Last but not least, he pointed out that the government will focus on a strategy, aiming to give a solution to immigrant issues.
