Deputy Minister of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs Fofi Gennimata informed the Parliament about the integration of the Greek language to the Australian course structure. All parties of the Greek Parliament agreed and sent a request to the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) in order to support the Greek-Australian community’s demand. The integration of the Greek language in the 11 priority languages supported by the Australian government is currently under consultation. Mrs. Gennimata has already sent letters to the Federal Education Minister of Australia and to all state Prime Ministers of the country.
