Health Minister Andreas Loverdos, during an event organized by the Municipality of Agios Anargiros, was attacked by a group of 15 people. A fight broke out between demonstrators and members of municipal councils.
The attackers reportedly stated that they are supporters of the Left Alliance party Siriza.
Greek media reported that the protesters first hurled the eggs and paint against the minister. The liquid attack caused an uproar and fists started to fly between the intruders and the audience.
